How you can help

Do you have some free time each week or month whether it be 1 or 10 hours!  Would you like to do something worthwhile by helping our cause? We are currently looking for volunteers as follows:

Regional Events and Information Co-ordinators

We have members all over the United Kingdom who would benefit from local information and organisation of get togethers. If you have some spare time each month and have good communication and organisational skills, we would love to hear from you. These roles may incur a little travel around your area. To find out more, please contact Robyn at RCarter@Specialkidsintheuk.org

Administration Help

Is administration your strong point? Can you help out with mailshots? Do you have a computer and know how to use Word and/or Excel or do you have HTML skills and can help with our website updates. To find out more, please contact Robyn at RCarter@Specialkidsintheuk.org

Fundraising Co-ordinators

Running a charity costs money right from the pen we use to write up to the benefits we try to offer our members. If you are an experienced fundraiser or a person with alot of enthusiasm and would like to join our team of fundraising volunteers, please contact Stephanie at Sgarnerwinship@Specialkidsintheuk.org

Help at Special Kids Get Togethers

In some areas of the UK, we often hold get togethers for our members, At these events an extra pair of hands is often useful with the children. It also could mean that a member could attend knowing they have the additional help they need. Ideally you should be already be police checked and have some experience with children with special needs. However please do contact us to discuss further if you don't. If you would like to help on the odd occasion, please contact Robyn at RCarter@Specialkidsintheuk.org

Local Support Group Set up - Nationally

We are aiming to establish other groups in areas throughout the UK where they are most needed. If you are keen to get involved and are in an area that you feel would benefit from a face to face Special Kids in the UK group, please contact Sandy at ABraithwaite@specialkidsintheuk.org

Please note that all voluntary roles are unpaid but all expenses incurred whilst acting on Special Kids behalf will be reimbursed. We reserve the right to request a police check for our volunteers via the Criminal Records Bureau due to the nature of our charity. Many thanks
