Special Kids in the UK has three levels of membership.
Member level - Parent/Carer of a child with special needs
If you are are a parent or carer of a child with special needs you can join Special Kids and have access to the following:
- Online Forum to share your experiences with other members and ask questions of your own
- Secure chatroom for instant communication with other members including weekly Chat sessions on topics related to Special Needs
- Quarterly newsletter
- Regional get togethers throughout the year
- Useful information and tips
- An environment where you can make friends and have fun!

Associate Membership
If you are a professional or organisation who works or volunteers within the special needs community and are not a parent/carer of a child with special needs, you can
join as a Professional member and have access to:
- Professionals only online forum where you can meet and discuss with other professionals.
- Opportunity to ask questions to the Members via the Moderators
- Quarterly newsletter
- Secure Member only section of website

Affiliate Members
The Affiliate membership level is aimed at Local Support groups for families of children with special needs throughout the UK who may meet regularly. This level of membership is unique in
that Special Kids in the UK will provide you with the opportunity of provision of a toy/item for your group and hopefully a strong association. The families who attend your group can also join as a Member if they wish.
In addition, you will have access to the following:
- Professionals only online forum where you can meet and discuss with other professionals.
- Opportunity to ask questions to the Members via the Moderators
- Quarterly newsletter
- Secure Member only section of website
- Special Kids in the UK literature for display in your group
- Access to member benefits such as any discounts, subsidised products or product trials where applicable
