Special Kids Local Groups

One of Special Kids in the UK's objectives is to set up local face to face groups in areas of the UK where there isn't a support group that caters for all types of special needs children and their siblings.

The purpose of these groups will be to allow parents, carers and their children to meet and chat on a regular basis in an informal way, encouraging play and activities as well as face to face support. We also hope that local members might join in some of the national meetings and fun activities. Members will be able to seek information from the national parents forum either through their local group coordinator or through our website.

In addition, in areas of the United Kingdom where a group already exists, we can offer an Affiliate membership to the local group to Special Kids in the UK. By working together, we can help provide information and support your activities by provision of literature and also an introductory gift of your choice up to a certain value for use within the group setting.

To apply for Affiliate membership, the group leader should complete the application form through this link: Register for Affiliate Membership

If you would like more information on any of the above information or are interested in helping to set up a group in another part of the country, please contact Sandy at ABraithwaite@specialkidsintheuk.org
